About Terri Collins

Terri and real estate go way back! Terri's dad was a part time agent and Terri helped him keep the listings straight. Grama, not Grampa, Meyer saw to it that her family had a home, she opened a preschool to save money for the down payment and bought a house from the first woman Realtor® in Bakersfield. Years later, they burned the mortgage, and she stayed comfy in her own home until the end, and well after Grampa died. That example inspired Terri's belief that everyone needs their own place to be at home forever. Then, during college, Terri worked as a part time file clerk in the insurance department at Watson Realty Bakersfield to fund her USC study abroad in Spain, and later returned to Watson as a salesperson in their New Home subdivision. She worked in New Construction for three years and then began her current career as a residential resale agent. Terri is extremely grateful for the well-rounded foundation in insurance and new construction that comes into play when buyers and sellers are looking for experienced guidance. Time and again the knowledge gained in those experiences has added valuable insights that have saved her clients money, and resulted in long term benefits to them. Moving from New Construction to Residential Resales opened the doors for Terri's work with the Relocation Department, assisting Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Chevron, and Aera employees in their transfers to and from Bakersfield, in addition to taking care of the real estate needs of the local townspeople through their various life changes from all over the world.

 

Terri loves being a part of each client's life, and takes satisfaction in going to the mat for them during their transaction. Being a Bakersfield native, Terri is proficient in selling Bakersfield's most popular areas, and enjoys a reputation for representing discriminating sellers and buyers who are particular about their homes.
